ANNOUNCEMENT
Ohio law authorizes state agencies to adopt, amend, or rescind rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC). Amended rules 4765-14-01 and 4765-14-02 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) were filed with the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR) on Aug. 29, 2022 and will become effective on Sept. 15, 2022. The rules, from OAC Chapter 4765-14 (Trauma Triage), can be viewed using The Register of Ohio [lnks.gd]: 4765-14-01 Definitions. 4765-14-02 Determination of a trauma victim. Amendments to rules 4765-14-01 and 4765-14-02 include adding a symptom to the list of “evidence of respiratory distress” in the definitions rule and adding “on scene fatality in the same vehicle” to the list of anatomic conditions used as criteria for the determination of a trauma victim.
