OhioHealth Doctors Hospital named a Truven Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital

For the third consecutive year, Truven Health Analytics has named OhioHealth Doctors Hospital to their annual list of 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the Teaching Hospitals with Cardiovascular Residency Programs category. Selected from more than 1,000 U.S. hospitals, Doctors Hospital is the only hospital in central Ohio to be recognized this year. This recognition further solidifies Doctors Hospital’s strong reputation for expert heart care.

The Truven 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals is an annual quantitative study that identifies the nation’s best providers of cardiovascular service. To identify the 50 Top Hospitals, Truven analyzed Medicare Provider Analysis and Review (MedPAR), Medicare Hospital Cost Report Information System (HCRIS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Compare data. They scored hospitals in key performance areas, such as risk-adjusted mortality and complications, core measures, percentage of coronary bypass patients with internal mammary artery use, 30-day mortality and readmission rates and efficiency measures.
