We are proud to share with you that OhioHealth Grant Medical Center has been re-verified as a Level I Trauma Center by the Verification Review Committee (VRC), an ad hoc committee of the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Level I re-verification means we continue to provide the highest quality of surgical care to trauma patients. A variety of criteria must be met to be verified, including having specialized surgeons on-call and in the hospital around the clock, a helipad to transport patients, physicians and nurses specially trained in trauma care, state-of-the-art diagnostic and testing equipment, providing injury prevention programs in the community and conducting research in an effort to improve trauma care in the state and across the nation. The VRC of the ACS has awarded Grant its certificate of verification every three years since 1993. Grant Level I Trauma is one of the most active and fastest growing trauma centers in central Ohio, providing a full range of care to thousands of seriously injured patients regardless of severity or complexity.
